The Microsoft Empire Buy Now At Amazon.com

Who doesn't have a Windows operating system machine? Windows has the 95% of the market in operating systems. This book is really well written, I was hooked. Bill Gates and Paul Allen started with almost nothing, they just wanted to make software. They vision that was the future. They met at Lakeside High School, and their first company Traf-O-Data was a success. Later they started Microsoft, when the first computer the Altair came out. The Altair staff was searching for a computer language to run in it. Enter Microsoft with Basic. Then they saw the opportunity of giving IBM an operating system for their new machine, to compete with Apple Computer, and their Apple II. Then they saw the opportunity of the graphic user interface from the MacIntosh, and the rest is history. I tell you, it's a really great story. Gates was an opportunistic, and he did pretty well.
